Name: Anastasia Age: 3 years old Sex: XX Breed: Tibetan Mastiff
Height: 28 inches Weight: 150 lbs Physical Description: She used to be a beautiful red mahogany color, she used to be gorgeous and her eyes were a bright mossy green. Anastasia used to be young. She was a princess once. Stress seems to have made her color darker and gray where she once had a vibrant coat. But it was a little price to pay, her heart was worse for the wear then her eyes. The Tibetan Mastiff now has a bronze hue that dominates her dorsal fur. The base remains as it used to be, a gentle cream like the color of sand. There are little highlights on her pelt, namely her forehead, her muzzle and her tail that have a bit of black on them. Her bronze, though used to be red coat used to extend over her eyes but they have receded so she has a cream mask. It helps accentuate her green eyes, but like her coat. They've dimmed over from her tragedy and sorrow. They've become a dark, foggy green but sometimes, you can see the light that once possessed them.
Like most Tibetan Mastiffs, she has a very broad head however her muzzle is somewhat slender and angled then most. Some believe it is because she has American stock in her blood, but nevertheless no one has complained because she was not chosen to be the show dog in her family. She was chosen to be the companion, the pampered and love one who would guard the children and the household. Thus she has muscular legs having walked many miles around their estate. Her low set chest and wide torso give her stamina and a very sultry voice, low and intimidating if she were to set it at that tone. Although she looks quite masculine, her long legs and curves with her slender muzzle are distinctly female. That and her lighter weight despite her usually male attributed height. Her undercoat is quite plush but her top coat is slightly coarse. Her fur is extremely thick but there is less on her head while there is an abundant mane around her neck. There is also a light feathering on her legs but mostly on her tail.
Overall, Anastasia is a bronze Tibetan Mastiff with a tall thickset body structure and dark emerald eyes.
General Personality: As custom to her breeding, Anastasia is the ideal Tibetan Mastiff who is amazingly courageous and extremely loyal. Even if betrayed, her solid morals keep her from revenge and although she is unlikely to ever trust you. She will never tell anyone your secrets. Anastasia is highly protective, even those who are wrong. She knows that there is a bit of good in them, perhaps if she showed them the right way to do things. Well maybe they'll learn from example. This is the extent of her optimism. There are dogs and people who can prove her wrong and make her believe that they are too far gone to save. But she knows she must try first. She is very maternal, quite loving although this part of her is extremely hidden away. There are times when some believe that she is excessively strict, but it is proof of how cautious she is of her guardian duties.
Sometimes that leads into paranoia. Anastasia is not one to take risks if the consequences are too severe. But if the benefits could save someone, she'd take the risk if the sacrifice was herself. Wise for her age, it seems to have taken an effect on her. The Tibetan Mastiff is easily stressed but hides it behind a grave, solemn attitude toward the world. Although a bit distrusting at first, she does push herself to give everyone a chance because of that belief. But everyone one goes through parole with her, everyone is observed. In regards to fighting, Anastasia has had her good deal of it and prefers to avoid it. But she will never hesitate to save someone from a forced battle or from hurting themself. With romance, she's never known the companionship of a man and sometimes appears too lady-like to be entranced by charming men. But she's never had the experience of having suitors but Anastasia knows foolishness when it appears.
Overall, Anastasia is a tough individual who hides her maternal instinct behind a protective attitude to the world. Habits & Quirks: Anastasia likes to sing or hum, anything musical because her little girl loves music. She loves fried foods and Chinese food in general. The Tibetan Mastiff also hates to be confined and has a tendency to ignore pain.
Important Events in History: Anastasia was born to the family of one of the Chinese politicians that moved to Russia to negotiate certain allegiances with the Embassy. He took his children with him because his wife had died earlier that year, and took his prized Tibetan Mastiff. He brought with him his best male and left the others on his estate in his kennels. The politician imported a female from America, in hopes of creating a litter of puppies to eventually give to one of the Russian politicians or to their president because everyone knows that puppies are the best peace offering gifts. There were 5 puppies born, three puppies were given away and two were kept. Anastasia and her brother, who was being trained to be a show dog while she was kept to guard and shepherd the children. She was always with the kids, two older boys and the youngest girl who was her favorite. Unfortunately, politics weren't always the most pleasant things to deal with and trouble came when she was about 2 years old.
Men came and shot her father who tried to fight them off, then they burned down the house. Anastasia managed to save one of the boys and the little girl. But the fire spread fast and she was forced to leave her mother and the boy. She watched them burn to the ground with the house. Its believed that the ashes made her coat darker first. The family, or what was left of it were taken to the police station. But on the way, Anastasia, the little girl and the other little boy who were riding in a separate car were interceded. Their driver's throat was slit and the terrorist kidnapped them. She still has the scars beneath her coat, around her neck and her muzzle from the rope that tied her. Then bruises and tender skin on her paws where they chained her up. She listened to them talk, negotiate and figure things out.
The politician brought money, Anastasia recognized him by his voice and he brought with him Anastasia's brother. They shot him, the little boy cried and he struggled with the little girl cried into Anastasia's fur. They shook him until he was limp, he died from the cold later that night. They tied up Anastasia's brother. But in the morning, the police came and took them all away. An aunt was supposed to come and pick up the little girl but there was an issue with the clearance for the two dogs. The little girl left, back to China and Anastasia was heart broken because she knew they would never be together. Because of her brother's high status as a show dog, a rescue took notice and managed to ship him back to the kennel but Anastasia was forgotten.
She was adopted by a man who took her to the dog fighting rings. They did not do many checks on their adopters, but her life was miserable. Anastasia spent a lot of time dreaming of the little girl and her brother. Dreams were all she could rely on. Fighting was horrible on her heart and worse of all, living was a nightmare. Because the men would lose a lot of money from losing dogs, they ate the dogs that lost. She saw the many ways that they were killed, electrocuted or sometimes even cooked alive. It was appalling. She was forced to eat dog before, starved to death and forced to survive by some unknown instinct. Eventually the police came, broke down the system and she was taken away. Stuck in a dark kennel and it was there that her brilliant eyes seemed to dim, there she grew old from her experiences and she was only 3 years old.
A good future was supposed to be on her way, but during that transaction. Anastasia lost her way and found herself in the city of Saratov as a stray. It took a few months to adjust but she managed, Anastasia survived.
